Beginning to Boulder

I’ve always loved climbing things. As a kid, I would climb trees in the yard and read a book in their branches. At some point, I must have gone indoor rock climbing for a birthday party and convinced my parents to build a traversing climbing wall on the back of the house.

Cooking in Lockdown: Traveling through Culinary Experiences at Home

I think one of the hardest things mentally during the COVID-19 pandemic has been the sudden lack of things to look forward to. Normally, my days are spent in anticipation of an upcoming trip or hangout night with friends, so I’m able to enjoy the quiet moments since I know excitement is around the corner. How does one come to terms with the unknown, and enjoy this time instead of letting it go to waste while waiting for something that may not happen for a long time?
